Introduction to 3 Day IRR17 Radiation Protection Supervisors (RPS) Course

Our course for Radiation Protection Supervisors, Operators and Practitioners ensures that participants receive the necessary core of knowledge instruction in radiation protection in medical practice, supporting their role to act in any of these capacities.

The course content has been developed to meet requirements outlined in Regulation 18 of IRR17 concerned with local rules and the Radiation Protection Supervisor.

This is a three day course that will equip qualified radiographers with the underpinning theoretical knowledge and understanding necessary to operate as Radiation Protection Supervisors.

  • Performing Risk Assessments (Diagnostic Radiology, Sealed/Unsealed Sources)
